Captain (Ret.) Steve Hedrick started his boating career in the summer of 1963 working as a mate on charter fishing boats out of Indian River Delaware. After several years as a mate and graduating from high school, Steve served four years in the US Navy. He continued on to college in Pennsylvania and earned a BS degree in Business. His professional career was spent as a Certified Financial Planner retiring in 2008, but all the while he continued his passion for boating, the ocean and fishing. He bought his first larger boat over 30 foot in 1978. Three boat later in 1983 he became USCG licensed and started to run offshore fishing charters out of Ocean City MD on a part time bases thru 2006 before moving to Florida in 2008.
Steve has fished many tournaments from Cape May, NJ to Florida. He still fishes his own boat when time and the weather permits including many trips to the Bahamas. He has also fished in Kona, Costa Rico, Aruba, St. Thomas and Cancun, Mexico.
Becoming bored with retirement after a few years (one can only play so much golf, and fish so much) looking for something enjoyable to do there was but one answer. Steve really enjoys the boat brokerage industry and works diligently to find buyers for his listings and putting his buyers in the perfect boat.
