Jimmy took his first Captains job in Palm Beach, FL after the birth of his first child Brody in 1998. He was involved in the building process and decision making of the 64’ Spencer ‘Wrenegade’ and fell in love with custom boats. Jimmy went on to fish many tournaments as both a mate and a Captain and compiled quite a winning resume up and down the coast including the Caribbean. Jimmy’s passion for fishing and custom boats has transitioned into the same love for selling them. After becoming President and owner of Tournament Yacht sales since 2006, he transformed the company into one of the top brokerages in the world today.
Erik manages our Gulf Coast operation, is a resident of Destin Florida and has been involved in the marine industry for most of his life. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Business and International Affairs and has held his 100 ton Master USCG captains license for over 20 years. He began his career at a young age working on charter boats while in school, ultimately moving on into the private yacht sector, as well as brokerage, post graduation. His specializations include design, construction, operation and brokerage of diesel powered vessels in US domestic and international locations. He is active in the Gulf Coast tournament circuit and continues to fish extensively in Central and South America, Mexico, Alaska, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Erik is also an avid free diver and traveler, and enjoys restoring boats in his free time.
Jeff is a native of Gloucester, Va. and has lived on the Outer Banks of NC since 1989. He worked as a mate for 7 seasons out of Oregon Inlet, the Bahamas and Mexico for some of the best in the business and later operated his own charter business, Reel Deal Charters for over 15 years.
Well respected in the sportfishing Industry, Jeff has worked hard to maintain a reputation based on integrity and hands on experience. Having worked on or run many different custom Carolina boats in the past, he is very knowledgeable about the fishability and performance that these designs offer.
He has also worked as a project manager for Bayliss Boatworks, graduated from Navtech marine surveying school and currently manages a fleet of boats for private owners on the Outer Banks. He has years of experience coordinating all manners of projects from yard and dockside maintenance to total refits for these clients as part of his business James Marine Management.
His work ethic, communication skills and relationships with all of the local service providers in the area adds another level of potential to the buyer looking to make changes or upgrades to a new boat.
Jeff lives in Manteo with his wife Jennifer and their three children, Emili, Ashlen and Brady.
His reputation, experience and good nature make him a valuable asset to the Tournament Yacht Sales team.
Ronnie has been in the fishing industry since he was 16 years old. He started out mating on charter boats in Ocean City, MD. Throughout his 25 year fishing career Ronnie has competed in and won several tournaments as well as participated in several world records. He also has maintained the title of Top Captain for tag and release of Atlantic Blue Marlin for the last 2 years. Ronnie has traveled extensively around the world, fishing in countries including the Azores, Canaries, Cape Verde, Panama, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. Ronnie currently resides in Singer Island, FL and during his off time enjoys hunting, surfing, and going fishing with his son Fisher. He is now taking his talents to the yacht brokerage industry. Ronnie’s love for the industry and his years of experience is what makes him the perfect salesman to help you buy or sell your next boat.
Joel started at a young age fishing and free-diving the Bahamas and South Florida. He went on to study applied behavioral analysis at the institute for child development at Princeton. He has fished extensively up and down the eastern seaboard, Bermuda, South and Central America, the Caribbean, and many remote south pacific islands, as well as several tournament wins in 20 years on the circuit. He has been involved in several builds and major refits, and currently runs a private boat traveling and tournament fishing. Joel is married with a daughter and currently lives in Stuart.
Terry is located in Ocean City, MD and brings a lifetime of knowledge in the boating industry to the table. Growing up in Ocean City and fishing his entire life in Maryland, Terry is the perfect broker to represent you if you are looking to buy or sell a boat.
Captain (Ret.) Steve Hedrick started his boating career in the summer of 1963 working as a mate on charter fishing boats out of Indian River Delaware. After several years as a mate and graduating from high school, Steve served four years in the US Navy. He continued on to college in Pennsylvania and earned a BS degree in Business. His professional career was spent as a Certified Financial Planner retiring in 2008, but all the while he continued his passion for boating, the ocean and fishing. He bought his first larger boat over 30 foot in 1978. Three boat later in 1983 he became USCG licensed and started to run offshore fishing charters out of Ocean City MD on a part time bases thru 2006 before moving to Florida in 2008.
Steve has fished many tournaments from Cape May, NJ to Florida. He still fishes his own boat when time and the weather permits including many trips to the Bahamas. He has also fished in Kona, Costa Rico, Aruba, St. Thomas and Cancun, Mexico.
Becoming bored with retirement after a few years (one can only play so much golf, and fish so much) looking for something enjoyable to do there was but one answer. Steve really enjoys the boat brokerage industry and works diligently to find buyers for his listings and putting his buyers in the perfect boat.
Capt. Dave has been a recognized figure in the marine industry for nearly 25 years. He was born in Pompano Beach, FL and has also resided in Maryland and North Carolina. Capt. Dave was employed by Hatteras Yachts for several years, heading up their demonstrator program as well as contributing to the engineering and design of many vessels on the water today. He has also been heavily involved in the building and captaining of many custom yachts. Currently, he is the Captain of Rachel Anne, a 80’ Viking Sportfishing Yacht. In addition, Capt. Dave has maintained a highly successful tournament career, traveling throughout the United States, South America and the Caribbean. Capt Dave is married with two daughters and resides in Palm Beach Gardens.
Captain John Caselli was born in Stratford Connecticut growing up on Long Island Sound working in boat yards and starting his first charter operation. John fished with his family in the Northeast in the Summer and South Florida and Bahamas in the winter. John moved to south Florida full time in 1998 and has been a full time captain ever since. Running charter operations as well as private boats John has traveled the world, done the tournament circuit as well as thousands of successful charters. John has a vast experience both maintaining and restoring older boats which gives him a great knowledge of all boat systems and build quality.
Charley was raised in Coconut Grove, FL, fishing and hunting throughout FL and the Bahamas until heading to Daytona Beach in 1984 to study Aeronautical Engineering at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Upon graduation in 1989 he went to work as an accident investigator at the National Transportation Safety Board in Washington, DC, reading out data recorders, aka black boxes, and doing data analysis and reconstruction for aviation, marine, and railroad accidents and transportation-related terrorism events, including 9-11. From DC he fished weekends year-round in the Outer Banks of NC and Ocean City, MD, running his own boats and serving as mate on several charter and private boats. Charley got his Captain’s license in 1999 and started his “Sushi” charter business with a 50 ft Ricky Scarborough, as well as starting a NC-based house construction business in 2001. He left the NTSB in 2005 to focus on his entrepreneurial efforts, eventually buying Island Boat Works and finishing out Hull #20, their 57 footer, from 2011 to 2013. Three weeks after finishing the new Sushi boat he captained it to a $574,000 purse in the 2013 Ocean City White Marlin Open with a 276 lb bigeye tuna, which stands as the world record payout for a tuna. Recent first place tournament wins include; 2017 OC Tuna Tournament and 2021 White Marlin Open. Charley is married with two daughters and travels regularly between NC, MD, DC, and FL for business and family.
Colton heads up our Centered with Tournament Yacht Sales division. Colton is a 4th Generation South Floridian and grew up on the water. Spending countless hours aboard a variety of center consoles, Colton has learned the ins and outs. Born and raised in South Florida, Emily grew up around and understands the boating industry and passion. She assists our team in the day to day operations ensuring that each closing goes smoothly.
Chris was born and raised in Jupiter, FL, and has been fishing ever since he was 4 years old.
He began as a mate on local charters, attained his USCG Captain License, and has been the captain/owner of Ole Red’s Fishing Services for the last 6 years. His knowledge of working as a freelance captain on numerous boats throughout Florida will bring a great depth of knowledge to the team.
Chris graduated from Florida State University with a Masters in Public Administration and Emergency Management. He holds a VFR private pilot license, a USCG 6 pack captains license, and manages two consulting firms that work with multiple private contractors for disaster response and recovery projects under the Federal Emergency Management Agency Public Assistance Program.
His business savviness and balance of time on boats will bring a great skillset to our team.
