Meet Our Team
OWNER AND PRESIDENT
Jimmy took his first Captains job in Palm Beach, FL after the birth of his first child Brody in 1998. He was involved in the building process and decision making of the 64’ Spencer ‘Wrenegade’ and fell in love with custom boats. Jimmy went on to fish many tournaments as both a mate and a Captain and compiled quite a winning resume up and down the coast including the Caribbean. Jimmy’s passion for fishing and custom boats has transitioned into the same love for selling them. After becoming President and owner of Tournament Yacht sales since 2006, he transformed the company into one of the top brokerages in the world today.
Jimmy also takes it a step further with his clients and travels to tournaments all over the country to fish as an angler and enjoys the competition and giving back to his clients. Jimmy currently resides in Palm Beach Gardens, FL with his wife Jennifer and two sons, Brody and Dawson. Jimmy is a family first man and credits his family for the support in building their business. His extensive knowledge of the boating industry and all the connections he has made over his career makes him one of the top brokers in the industry. This expertise is why his clients return to work with him year after year.
CAPT. DAVE FIELDS
Captain (Ret.) Steve Hedrick started his boating career in the summer of 1963 working as a mate on charter fishing boats out of Indian River Delaware. After several years as a mate and graduating from high school, Steve served four years in the US Navy. He continued on to college in Pennsylvania and earned a BS degree in Business. His professional career was spent as a Certified Financial Planner retiring in 2008, but all the while he continued his passion for boating, the ocean and fishing. He bought his first larger boat over 30 foot in 1978. Three boat later in 1983 he became USCG licensed and started to run offshore fishing charters out of Ocean City MD on a part time bases thru 2006 before moving to Florida in 2008.
Steve has fished many tournaments from Cape May, NJ to Florida. He still fishes his own boat when time and the weather permits including many trips to the Bahamas. He has also fished in Kona, Costa Rico, Aruba, St. Thomas and Cancun, Mexico.
Becoming bored with retirement after a few years (one can only play so much golf, and fish so much) looking for something enjoyable to do there was but one answer. Steve really enjoys the boat brokerage industry and works diligently to find buyers for his listings and putting his buyers in the perfect boat.

Alan has been in the fishing industry since he was in his early teens, starting in Paul’s Tackle Shop in Ocean City, MD catching bait and eventually becoming a mate on the charter boat, the Bolo Jr. for one John Mumford. His career took off from there as he became one of the most knowledgeable fisherman in the industry. Alan has probably fished or been a Captain of every make and model boat, making him a great choice to transition into the brokerage world. Having traveled all over the world from Venezuela to NE canyons, Alan now resides in Jupiter, FL with the catch of his life, Mary Jane, and enjoys fishing and hunting with his three sons Jimmy, David and Ronnie as well as his grandson’s, Brody and Dawson.
Charley was raised in Coconut Grove, FL, fishing and hunting throughout FL and the Bahamas until heading to Daytona Beach in 1984 to study Aeronautical Engineering at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Upon graduation in 1989 he went to work as an accident investigator at the National Transportation Safety Board in Washington, DC, reading out data recorders, aka black boxes, and doing data analysis and reconstruction for aviation, marine, and railroad accidents and transportation-related terrorism events, including 9-11.
